This drawing forms part of a series exploring the folklore surrounding George and the Dragon. It reassesses the story, focussing on the dragon and how she came to be George's adversary. The series brings in contemporary issues such as habit loss, the taming of nature and the fragility of extant species. This drawing focuses on the moment when the dragon, confined to a cave receives sheep from the villagers. It is a commentary on the monotrophic diet of captivity and the disconnect between worlds.
