Last Glance

Orpheus, gifted with music that could charm all living things, descends into the underworld to reclaim his beloved Eurydice after her death. His song softens Hades, who allows her return on one condition: he must not look back until they reach the surface. As they near the light, doubt overcomes him. He turns, and she vanishes forever. His grief endures, a testament to love undone by a single moment of human frailty.

Poised at the edge of return, Orpheus twists toward the very thing he was told to resist.
A moment of his undoing—a backward glance fracturing hope.
Eurydice now lost … forever.
